Frequently asked questions

What is MasterUMIC used for?

MasterUMIC is designed for U-PVC applications that expect strong color dispersion, process stability, and effective coloring at low usage levels. Outdoor use, profile appearance, dimensional stability, and surface quality are evaluated together during recipe work.

How does a MasterUMIC project start?

The profile, panel, foil, or similar extrusion structure is defined first. Color reference, stabilizer and additive system, process temperature, torque, ampere, and other production signals guide the sampling and test process.

Which process data should be shared?

Raw material type, color or performance target, expected dosing rate, machine/process type, final product use, and any existing sample should be shared for a more accurate technical review.

Can RAL, Pantone, or customer samples be used?

Yes. RAL, Pantone, the Color Masterbatch color chart, and physical customer samples can be used as references during laboratory color work.

Can this product be developed from a customer sample?

Yes. Color codes, physical samples, raw material data, and process information can be reviewed together so the laboratory work starts with the right technical frame.

Why is process information needed before the final recipe?

The same color or additive package can behave differently depending on raw material, temperature, machine type, dosing, and final product geometry. Sharing this data improves sample accuracy and production repeatability.
