Why Are Profile, Pipe and Cable Evaluated Separately?
Even if the products use the same color family, cross-section, surface, line speed and performance expectations may be different. A single sample should not be automatically transported to all applications.
Profile and pipe geometry
The glossy window profile, thick-walled pipe and matte technical profile reflect light differently. Color matching is done with the sample representing the actual thickness and surface.
Difference of cable process
In cable application, thin coating, line speed, flexibility and other additive packages are taken into account. Compliance is verified under the PVC compound used and the actual extrusion condition.

In addition to the target color, carrier compatibility, pigment distribution and processing temperature are evaluated. External environment or specific performance expectations are also defined.
Dispersion and surface
If there is a line, dot or tone fluctuation, masterbatch, premix, dosage, screw and mold cleaning are checked together. Simply increasing the dosage may not solve the root cause.
Heat and additive package
Stabilizers, fillers, lubricants and other additives in the PVC formulation can affect color and process behavior. The sample should be made with the whole formulation.

Dosage, premix, granule flow, screw behavior, temperature, filter and mold cleanliness should be examined in a controlled sequence.
